Using a unique photonic crystal fiber technology, this device enables single-mode and multi-mode connections while ensuring low loss and stability. Their structure is the same as the usual adapter damper (the man on the SM side and the woman on the ladies‘ side).  

 In order to establish a hybrid SM-MM transmission, the MM fiber must be placed in the middle and used in a single mode (if there is no SM-MM-SM structure, only the SM patch connected to the MM cable from the light source is used).
